    Jeez - does failure to be aware of one title make me a complete
    ignoramous? Of course I read books, much more than many people,
    although I don't always go in for some of the 'literary' stuff that
    the likes of you and blaney are always going on about.

    But given that the film was made in 1973, presumably the book was some
    time earlier, and it's hardly a 'classic' is it? So why would you
    think it likely that I'd have read it?

    I rarely find anything on the mainstream channels worth watching, so
    never bother looking at TV listings. Hence I'm hardly going to notice
    something that plays on BBC2 starting 0155 on Sunday morning.

    I wuld have no problem eating someone I think.

    I reckon Ginge would taste like Rasberry Pavlova, Cab would taste like a
    garlic Cornetto (so forget him), Ivan would be a piece of mouldy old ham and
    dog would taste kind of bittersweet, like a honey and lemon drink. With pips
    in.
