Loud Cans

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by steve auvache, Mar 13, 2005.

  1. Yesterday evening while I was out I came across a rival for Blue Thunder
    there.

A little sort of burgundy blob of a cage with blacked out windows and
the sweetest loudest set of cans man has ever heard. Cruising next to
him up Victoria Avenue in a nice low gear and getting the attention of
an admiring public I was simply unable to hear what Blue Thunder had to
    say.

    Good it was.

Are you sure that's the correct adjective?

Blue fucking Thunder? You sad old ****.

The first thing you need is the missing six hundred cubes, old man -
then you might think about making the air shiver a bit.

I have something, Guzzi related, that makes the air break down and cry.

I'm not sure if it's me....

Good innit. I just can't resist.

Nah, I would be dead within a week on a B12 and, more seriously, lose me
    license the week after.

But but but..... Wasn't Blue Thunder that 80s helicopter thingy off film
and TV that had a really quiet stealth mode? So what you're actually saying
is the bandit is about as loud as a gnat's fart...? :)

I was rather hoping that nobody would be so sad as to admit to knowing
about that but there is always one.

Which was a rip-off of....? Two guesses. Give you a clue - it ripped off a
film that starred Roy Scheider of 'Jaws' fame and became a short lived TV
    series...

I have an uncanny knack for remembering useless, shite trivia.
Unfortunately that's all I can remember accurately - anything of importance
just drifts across my mind and exits through the nearest available
    orifice....

And anyway, that film rocked (well it did when I was 13....)

Well it wasn't 'Brown Rain' or 'Yellow Snow' but it was another similar
combination of a colour and a type of weather......
