Today I fitted a motorcycle battery. It was unusual in that it was a big battery, and the acid came in one big bottle with a snip-off top rather than the usual eight-pot auto-piercing doobry. I thought I'd best read the instructions for once, as I was unfamiliar with the MO - so here is the unexpurgated text,as close in format as I can get to it, in its original Engrish - it starts quite well, but rises to a Sir.Tony-like crescendo by the end: "The battery has pur through the charging procedure before leaving the factory, but hasn't poured the battery liquid.Our company's strict quality management enables the battery to use longer that other normal battery. The battery is of dry type,it can keep safely and can be used by pouring the battery liquid at all times.Pouring the battery liquid is prohibited before using the battery. Description for assemble 1.Before pouring the battery liquid Remove the plastic plug of the battery exhaustion hole and connectee by exhaust pipe. 2.Pouring the battery liquid Pour the battery liquid or the dipping acid liquid by dilution gradually(the average temperature is 20C,the specific weight is 1.280)pour the battery liquid until the upper limit of water-level labeled on the storage battery.The temperature of the battery liquid should be lower than 30C before pouring the battery. The battery shouldn't be moved in 30 minutes after being poured.This time the water level may be reduced automatically,please pour the battery liquid again until the upper limit of the water-level. 3.Charging After the above procedure,the battery can be used.Therefore,if allowed,we suggest taht the customer should charge for 0.5 hours at a current whose ampere is lower than 1/3 capacity of battery before using the battery. If the water-level reduced after charging,please pour the distilled water until the upper limit labeled on the battery.If the whether temperature is high,please charge gradually at alow current... After the charge,please fasten the cover of the battery.Please wash the acid liquid which overflows by water and wipe away. 4.Installing the battery The battery should be installed firmly in the car,the positive and negative pole with wrong connection is prohibited.After installation,please confirm the exhaust pipe is right without any extrusion and fold,other wise,the storage battery may explode 5. Maintenance Please check the water-level at least one time every month if the water-level lower than the midline be found,pleasde pour the distilled water until the upper limit of water-level labeled on the battery.Pouring acid liquid is prohibited.Keep the abttery clean at all times,please paint oil to prevent corroding close to the battery treminal.Please check again that the exhaust pipe is right without any extrusion and fold. 6.Recharging The vehicle with dim lighting and un-loud voice of loudspeaker or it isn't used for one month . recharging of battery is needed.The procedure should be put through until the specific weight of battery liquid is 1.280.If it doesn't have measure of specific weight,please charge until the battery gives off steam you see. THE BATTERY IS WITH POISON IF THE ACID LIQUID IS INCLUDED IN IT,AND IT MAY CAUSE SERIOUS BURN *Keep not in touch with skin,eye and clother,please wash the acid container to prevent accident. *Method of detoxify: Outside:to wash by clear fresh water. Inside:take a plenty of clear fresh water of cattle breast,well-distributed egg or vegetable oil.Please send to hospital at once. *Do not allow children to play it."
