Whilst out for a ride I lost my watch, which pissed me off because my mum
    bought it for me,

Anyway, tried to re-trace my steps to see if I could find it, petrol
station, in the road out front or any other place that I dismounted the
    bike, but no joy.

So I had completely given up on the idea of ever finding it (two weeks
passed) there it is... well I would never have thought of looking there!

    Guesses anyone?

Lost watches can be found next to the sink, IME.

    ....except my Grandfathers Garrard

Weren't your suspicions aroused when it became difficult to pass solids?

Is that what is known as a "time and motion" study.

Between the removal lining and your jacket sleeve proper. Or if its a
cheap red lined leather jacket like I once had, in the lining. In
    amongst the fluffy kapok stuff.

Well, down the back of the settee would be most normal, but stuck in
your jacket sleeve is probably more likely in this case.

I know you are all dying to know *NOT*

Came back from a sweaty ride yesterday, took the removable lining out of my
helmet and out pops a watch.

Now I would not have thought of looking there, it was small void area so
obviously I didn't feel it whilst wearing the thing, but with my ears you
would have thought I would have heard it ticking.

  20. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "David Thomas"
    <> saying something like:

Up the crack of your arse?
