....with me, that is. Turns out she's offering the same cover as my present mob, but at £15 more, purely in premium terms. But when you figure in the extras that Auntie adds on - they win by a mile! The other mob didn't chuck in breakdown or legal. They wanted £10 for legal, making it a case of £5 extra for bike breakdown stuff. I'll bell them tomorrow and have that. -- Cheers! Fr Jack 96 Tiger. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Fr Jack amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom: My insurance ran out last night and as CN quotes £180 odd I went with them and paid up. That's when a phone call came from the last mob offering me the same deal for five quid less. Bugger.
Did it include all the extras from CN, though? -- Cheers! Fr Jack 96 Tiger. FRJACKUKRM AT GMAIL DOT COM skype: fr.jack (without the dot)
In uk.rec.motorcycles, Fr Jack amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom: Yup, and a £200XS as well. Gawd knows what CN want for a XS, it seems you only get to find out when the documents arrive. It's been that way for the last few policies I've had with them scattered over the years and I don't suppose this one will be any different. Last time they wanted a £600XS I told them I wanted to cancel and they wanted £175 for the privilege. Still, I'm a hypocrite becausee I said I'd have nothing to do with the cunts again after that but it looks like I'm here again.
Who are the other mob and what was the actual insco? -- Cheers! Fr Jack 96 Tiger. FRJACKUKRM AT GMAIL DOT COM skype: fr.jack (without the dot)
In uk.rec.motorcycles, Fr Jack amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom: Premium choice was the broker what had a Riders choice dept. <Looks at last insurance doc> Shakespear Underwriting. I don't have the phone number but they're in the back of the mags and the last time I looked (last year) there was a silver Kwak of some description in the picture (a 636 I think)
Online quote is similar, but some petty tweaks in the policies put me off. -- Cheers! Fr Jack 96 Tiger. FRJACKUKRM AT GMAIL DOT COM skype: fr.jack (without the dot)
Fr Jack emerged from their own little world to say The cheapest comparable Euro breakdown policy you will find is £59 from Quoteline Direct. I usually make one continental trip each year. The extra that CN want compared to a shower like Bennetts, who do not provide Euro cover, has been worth paying so far.
They've always price matched with me, and never asked if the other companies throw in the free extras, so you'll probably get a bit more off IYSWIM.
In Never, ever, will I buy insurance without legal cover. It's been invaluable for me since my off last year and is now all done-and-dusted without any personal funding.
