    nicely on a 1980 Yamaha XS 400 Special? Thanks

    Or visit the motorcycle shops on Skiathos, Greece. They have some
    real magicians there. Some 50cc two-smoke mopeds made noises
    that made me look for at least a 250 thumper.

    More seriously I'd say that the best you can do for the sound
    of a non-racer 400 twin is to mute it as much as possible. It
    will never make anyone happy.
