Well, as subject really. I'd need a brochure with fairly large
photographs that shows the different colour schemes that were
available for the later disk brake models.

A high-res scan would also be fine, I just need something I can show
whoever ends up respraying the bodywork on mine.

Anyone got one they're willing to sell or scan?

It's a black bomber is it?

    Have a look at

    http://www.bma-magazin.de/frame.html?Rubriken/Archiv/Fahrberichte/Honda/CB450/CB450.html

The last site's only got small pix, but the bike featured is the
spitting image of one a friend had in the early 70s.

Coming to think of it, what colour other than black can you be
    possibly be thinking of?

platypus was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Yes and no - I was aware of that site but the pictures aren't good
enough to show exactly how the tank is painted. Unfortunately the guy
who painted the bike used the CB500T colour scheme, which is different
so it can't serve as a blueprint...

That one's rather useful as it's got some hi-res pictures of a nicely
restored one on there. And that shows the colour scheme on the tank,
whic is exactly what I need, cheers.
Yep, only that it's the wrong bike again :)
Green, actually. The K4 wasn't available in black (and not in the UK
either, mine's a US import) and I don't like the original blue that
much. Out of the remaining colours I like the green best, plus green
seems to be a rather rare colour for these anyway.

And it's even the correct model.

Ah. Somewhat closer to the mark...
Not quite. Plus, I try to avoid going to their website as I may end up
    buying another bike from him...

Oh, don't you fancy one like that on yours? ;-)
I know what you mean, I'm glad I don't live closer, or I could end up
    hanging around there a lot!

  10. couple of 400/4s in there, ToG...

and a honda express, with the infamous wind-up clockwork. A mate of mine
had one of these, you repeatedly depressed a pedal on the transmission to
wind the spring (trrrck-trrrck-trrrck) and then pulled the rear brake lever
(IIRC) which triggered it to spin the motor briefly (frrrrp). On the one in
question, this had to be repeated at least 6 times to start it. I think in
theory it wound itself up as you stopped the engine, so you could re-start
it, but that only works if it fires first time. The tank held about 0.8
    gallons, ISTR.
