Hi all, for the past couple of years i been riding a honda lead 80cc scooter
    to and from work

she finally gave up on me and its time i got something with a bit more balls
    and less embarrassing lol

and yes i do know i should just go and buy a proper bike, but i like
    scooters for some reason.

any good models to look for? im looking for at least 125cc max 250cc

    price limit is $6k

    thanks.

  2. Scooters are like fat chicks. They might be fun to ride but you don't want
your mates to see you on one.

  3. I'll add to this, go to bike dealers outside of the cosmopolitan inner-city
    nooks where scooters're actually popular.

I'd suspect Sydney isn't the only city in Australia with suburbs like
Paddington, Surry Hills, Newtown, etc., where scooters are seen as fashion
statements and are hence overpriced and overdemanded.

So if you're actually in one of these areas, pack your lunch for a day trip
'n head out to where "the great unwashed" live - the bike dealers there'll
be kissing your feet when you tell 'em you're wanting to buy a scooter.

Problem is that it is the 'trendy suburbs with fuckall parking' which
are the prime markets for scooters, so that's where the scooter sellers
are. Outside those areas your choice for scooters will be much
reduced... the dealers won't stock the same range or quantity, so the
chances that the dealer would have to order what you want are higher,
and if it's not consuming space on his showroom floor, he's not going to
be so generous in his endeavours to see it roll out the door.

I've got a Bolwell Shark 150, and it will cost you less than 6k. Excellent

Indeed. There's a similar term in golf. It's the "you f_cked your sister"
shot - it's right up there but you're not proud of it.

    HTH.

    Cheers,
