Look mum, no leaks!

Well, that's the GlodWing fork seals sorted. It handles *so* much better
with some rebound damping on the front end.

Actually no. That's a lie. It's still deeply, deeply scary. Fortunately
the AOLAEWS[1] is still working well, so it's not too important.

I can report that Clymer manuals knock HBoLs into next week. They rock.

The correct fork oil for a GL1000 is apparently automatic transmission
    fluid. Seriously.

    ShiteOldBikes. You gotta love them.

The handling on a 1500 improves no end with 42psi in the rear, rather
than 18, even if the tyre profile is still square. It's still grim,
    mind.
You wanna get the GL1500SEV "special" version. Other wise known as a
    seized centre stand pivot.

Not always IMO. Also far too many of those safety warnings for the
    septics.

I've had a couple of bikes with this requirement. Good idea.

*Exactly*. You get a good manual and a good excuse to laugh at the
Septics all in one package. What's not to like?

OK, I'll give you that, but what about the FJ fork bits that are
upside-down in Clymer and the right way up in Haynes? Hmm?

It's an FJ. Who cares? ;^)

Me, deeply and passionately. I'm hurt.
Ah well, they can't get that bit wrong with the GTS...

Yes, I know they don't do a book for that one.

BTW, are you ever likely to make a meet on the GTS?

    If so, CIHAGM?

You never know. Do I have to ride on the left again?
I usually take the FJ when I visit good ole England, as I don't have any
panniers for the GTS; I have Givis for the FJ, but only Krauser fittings
on the GTS (with no Krausers). Givi racks are no longer available for the
    GTS.
Yes, try not to use the front brake in a corner. It can take the unwary by
surprise, otherwise known as a "lean angle cancellation lever".

    Nah, it's optional.
