Apologies. My post was ambiguous. I meant dropping a cigarette between
your legs while driving. I've done that, and thereby posed a far, far
greater danger to other motorists or riders than when I've simply
fiddled with knobs, sandwiches, drinks etc while keeping at least half
an eye on the road. That's why I'd ban smoking while driving, and
leave the other distractions to be dealt with as at present.

The options were ESB (5%), Young's Winter Warmer (5%), Old Speckled
Hen (the emasculated new 4.5% tasteslikepiss vareity) or at the bottom
of the scale Wells Eagle or Kimberly Mild.

The ESB called me and I could do naught but answer. I anticipate a
    hangover imminently.

So you would ban me (and everyone else) from smoking because you are an
incompetent idiot who can't hold a cigarette?

I don't know what made me choose this post to follow up, but I have
need of a whisky-hating underground railway official in the Midlands
    somewhere. Anyone got any suggestions?

Ish indeed. We may need to speak more, as our journey this weekend is
    definitely westward..

Why not just play in non-smoking venues? There must be a market for
them if people feel so strongly.

Did I see that you'll be Hulland way soon? If you are then I could pick
up from you there, or possibly meet at Scotch Corner on Monday evening
when I'm on my way home from Penrith.

So Greene King ruin yet another of my favourite ales.

I bought some Ruddles County the other day. It was okay to drink but if I
tasted it blind I would've sworn it was a generic Greene King IPA variant.

GK seem to be doing the same homogenisation crap that Whitbread did in the
    1980s & 90s i.e. taking over & closing small breweries followed by
emasculating some wonderful ales[1] through industrialised production.
    Cunts.

[1] Pompey Royal especially was never the same when brewed in Cheltenham or
    Kent

Have you got a secret pipeline to the norwegian government?
I thought that information was to be secret another year.

  17. I'm not around until late Sunday - you could leave them with Mu (not
Mike, obviously) or Ginge? I'm near the Pixies the weekend after,
could take Pip and TOGs that way, leave dnc's with the pixies? Does
    that just leave Statto's bottle?

It looks like it may be easier for WIP to bring them over, as we'll
    only be in HW briefly.

Oh, and K - I meant to say thanks just now!

Yep. Sounds like a plan. Except TOG may prefer to wait for his.
