Made oi grin, did that. I watched it on Sunday. Thought it was better than the last one, but only marginally. It's still not good TV and Boreman (sic) comes over as a twat.
I found myself shouting at the TV with McGregor's "We're doing a full 450 miles in a day through France - how tiring, where shall we stop?" mardy whine. It got better once they got to Libya mind.
It was good, but I've seen better from a mate of mine, on halloween several years ago. He was dressed as Death, complete with scythe, and skeleton face mask. Needeless to say, Death's nylon robes were not quite as fireproof as one might have hoped.
With a new set of "pearly whites" now too. Couldn't help noticing how his smile changed when he was on Wossy the other week. Looks like he's going all Hollywood it does. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
And despite maps, GPS, etc etc, and a full back-up crew, they still managed to get lost. Re Libya - I've been to Leptis Magna and Sabratha many times, and what the programme shows is just the beginning of it. Fabulous, fabulous sites.
He's a moody, selfish, prima donna with a reckless disregard for the rest of the team. ...apart from that I like the guy.
But the rest of the team are dickheads for the most part. A reckless disregard is the only way to go! Especially that fucking doctor. What a sanctimonious wanker!
Wusses, everytime I come back from the villa its an 880mile trip leaving at 8 in the morn. I must admit I do like the series - then I liked long way round as well. Right, catch up tv on demand - must see sunday nights episode & top gear.
CT secured a place in history by writing: Heh. Read that today (lots of free time serving on a jury dontcha know) and determined to post it here tonight....but I see I am pre-ginged.
I wasn't watching it until SWMBO shouted "they're going through the Mont Blanc tunnel and complaining that it's cold!" We reminisced about how we did it with four inches of snow on the approach roads, two up on a Nordwest (Monza to Beaune). -- +-------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pete Fisher at Home: | | Voxan Roadster Gilera Nordwest Yamaha WR250Z | | Gilera GFR * 2 Moto Morini 2C/375 | +-------------------------------------------------------------+
SWMBO was in fits at the beginning of the last episode: "And this is our medic, Dai"[1] [1] It doesn't work so well in a written medium, obv.
Sucking his keyboard for inspiration, TOG@toil typed: Too many man-hugs for my liking. I'll give a mate a hug if I haven't seen him for 5 years, and I'll hug someone of either gender if it's needed to comfort them, but these guys need no excuse. "We've managed to put up two tents without them falling down!" <Man-hug> "I've done a wheelie!" <Man-hug>
I had a long chat over a cuppa with him at the NEC a few years ago as I was thinking of buying a Gas Gas he had on loan from the importer for a few months. He's just yer typical bike-mad bloke, with a rather good sense of humour. AOL -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
On Nov 6, 10:04 pm, He has utterly mad eyes.... I'm quite enjoying this series so far, oddly, as I thought the first one was complete tosh.
Oh ditto, ditto. Mind you I was cringing and wondering about the state of his splines. Then again not to worry 'cos I'm sure they've got full spares back up. Well, I've seen better but top marks and the man was sober too.
