Long, political and OT

Anyone satisfied with the status quo of leadership in our state and nation
will have no interest in this post.. With few exceptions on this newsgroup..
we have agreed that qualities not acceptable to us are Bullies, Cowards, and
Liars.. Most of us have been affected by the policies of our government
leadership during the past few years.. The leadership of our state and
nation have led us in directions that infringe on our rights, freedoms and
economic well being.. Unfortunately, that leadership in control of all our
branches of government are republican.. By design, that control is being
tightened weekly.. The result will soon be a one party system with total
control.. That, brothers and sisters, is an authoritarian government.. The
general public seems to be helpless, uninformed and/or totally apathetic..We
have seen the leader of our state and nation rule against the best interests
of their constituents again and again.. We have seen laws and regulations
being placed that penalize the consumers and voters and reward the corporate
interests, at our expense.. If you are satisfied with that kind of
leadership, then you should take no action.. If you are not satisfied with
the status quo, regardless of your party affiliation, then you must be
offended by what is happening in our government.. I have crossed that party
line, many times in the past.. I have challenged and confronted many of the
corrupt democrats who tried to pass laws that was not in the best interests
of their constituents.. Party lines are unimportant, when we see the
leadership wallowing in corruption, at the expense of every man, woman, or
biker who voted for them.. Party lines must be non-existent, when corruption
such as we are witnessing is so blatant .. There must be leadership to
correct the course of our state and nation.. Where best, for that leadership
to come from, other than a multitude of men and women who share such
impressive interests as our motorcycles.. We .. are the leaders that can
make the changes that are necessary.. We can be the deciding factor in our
state.. We MUST rise to this responsibility and take back our democracy..
That responsibility is OURS.. The very qualities that make most of us love
our machines and the freedoms they represent to us, make us unique and
special.. The responsibility that goes with it, is awesome, when we consider
that the future of our democracy in the state and nation is in such dire
risk.. Who else will do it ?
