His job isn't to punctuate sentences, it's to uphold the law. I'm sure
you're joking on that one, if not, I wouldn't say use it as your core
    defence :)
Was it one or two policeman? One maybe - two you're really treading on dodgy
ground IMO as you're effectively saying TWO policeman are lying.
Undertaking may not be illegal, but I think it can be classed if they're so
inclined as either driving without care and attention, or dangerous
driving - I think Darsy and Adie got taken to task on that.

Anyway, they've got you as lane splitting... that's a bit different then
undertaking. Not to mention you were going faster then the traffic already
on the motorway, didn't plan your entry to the motorway, used the emergency
    lane as an overtaking lane...
Best of luck but I suspect you're on a bit of a sticky wicket.

I'm confused - is he saying he took our advice and didn't protest and now
doesn't have a R1, or is he saying that he protested and now doesn't have a
    R1?

I think I'm clear on him not having a R1 though.

Depends on the method of speed detection. From the statement it was an
following speed but it depends on whether they were using the
calibrated speedo or provida. If it was provida then there would be
video evidence. You`ve left out the registration number (for obvious
reasons) but I would be able to tell you from that what method was
    used.
Calibrated speedos get checked on the first sunday of the month (for
the area you are talking about) and they are *fanatical* about doing
it. Provida automatically reminds when a calibration checks are
required and you cant do speed detection when its out of date. It
also prints "calibration due" onto the video.

I did that to two police cars on the way home. They didn't seem to mind at
    all.
I did that too, straight after passing second plod car. They didn't seem to
mind that either. Although, I wasn't going that fast, about 85ish on the
dual cabbageway. Speed up a bit once they were out of sight though.

When I got chased at *eek* MPH down the M11, merrily lane splitting and
undertaking the copper didn't seem overly upset about that. He was more
concerned that I hadn't noticed him following me for the last 10 miles.
Although, he did admit that he was a fucking long way behind :)

This sounds dubious; whenever I've had any, ahem, dealings in such
matters, the phrase used has always been "I estimated the suspect to have
been exceeding [insert posted limit here]"

    This phrase:
    "having undertook these cars"
Is very dodgy, too, IMO. There isn't, IIRC, any such thing as
"undertaking" other than in the dead bodies sense - besides the apalling
    grammar...

    Sounds highly suspish...
