I was going to ask the same thing. Well, not specifically on the
Sunday. I was thinking of knocking off work at lunchtime on Friday and
    going before the drinks-at-Lowlander.

But then I thought about it some more and realised it would be £18
that could be better spent on beer.

Is Ally Pally not on this year?

    I'm going on Friday.
I thought this was the Ally Pally show but they'd just moved it to a
    better venue.

ah, I knew there was another reason not to go ;-)
The Ally Pally show was (recently) run by Superbike magazine, this
"london motorcycle show" appears to be an MCN affair.

I would disagree that ExCel is a "better venue" than Ally Pally, but
that's purely a location thing (I've never been to ExCel)

Band rehearsal has been cancelled so I could come and annoy you at
Lowlander but I'll have the old man with me so possibly not.
I don't care who runs any of these things. I don't do the MCN hatred
thing although I think Superbike is a wank rag for chavs.
Having been to both ExCel is a larger, modern venue with better access
and facilities. I'd rather go there given the choice but there's not
much in it from a location point of view for me.

    can't do that. can't do saturday either as i have a niece/nephew-birthday-
    thing.
not that many beers, these days.
apparently they did say last year that this year's one would be at excel.

oh go on, you miserable old ****.
    I don't give a **** about any bike mag - I think they're all shit.
fair enough - Ally Pally is just a hell of a lot easier for me to get
    to/from.

fair enough. You might deride my suit-wearing, but being the boss
means I can take whatever time off I like :)
I'm doing Vinopolis on Saturday (16:15 on the Vintage tour, if anyone
cares to join myself and A.)
you know, I've lost interest already.

those are the reasons I'm not going to bother - I've pretty much
decided on what I'm going to replace the Tiger with at the start of
the summer, so I don't need to do the "sitting on bikes" thing.

This does appear to be true now. Blame EMAP I suppose.

Superbike and Fastbike seem to be aimed at the sort of riders who wear
stick on fluorescent mohawks on their lids.

No but I believe it still happens in areas where it's still 1995.
