Tuesday looks best for me, with Wednesday a maybe.

    Thursday is right out.

Tuesday's fine for me - I've just found Wednesday might be tricky.

You know though, I don't think the OP (Entwisi) is reading this...

"Their hairdos may resemble a nuclear fall-out..."

What is "a nuclear fallout" then?

Something that the bright young things understand. Us oldies need to
stick to the places with sawdust on the floor and chewing gum under the
    tables.

At least I think it's chewing gum.

if you'd been there, you'd understand. I'm pretty sure the reviewer is
referring to the sort of haircut that you'd only expect on a
    post-apocalyptic radiation-dosed just-about-survivor. We've one here -
sort of spikey on the top, shaved #0 on the sides, and long raggedy
    mullet at the back.

Wel, I guessed that's what the sentence was attempting to describe.
But surely it should read something like "Their hairdos may look like
they've been exposured to nuclear fallout" ?

sure. Reviews of poncy bars on the Internet aren't the best places to
look for examples of good use of grammar or simile.

anyway, wherever it is, we're going tomorrow, right?

I've emailed Entwisi, but no reply yet - maybe the guy'll not get to
    come to his own drink...

  16. An amalgam of exposed and tonsured, I suspect.

If it's any help, Sid Vicious died 25 years ago today. :)

I should be able to get out tomorrow for a couple you'll no doubt be
    ambivalent to hear.
Who's going to buy the beers if he doesn't turn up then.

  19. He would have been a fat, middle-aged **** by now anyway. Just as well
    he's dead.

    Noooooooo!

I remember wearing a badge that said "Sid's not that Vicious" when I was
at school and arguing with one of my games teachers insisting that
Malcolm McClaren had done it[1] to promote sales of Pistol's records.

Of course it was obvious, on reflection, that it was the work of
Al-Quaeda and David Blunkett should just go out and look for the guilty
men; if he can't see them he should arrest someone else.
