I'm down the smoke next week for a training course at IBM in Bloomsbury
square, staying at the Radisson Malborough Monday to Thurs. Any one fancy
meeting somewhere for a beer or three?

Any of the Soho/Noho crowd interested in a mid-week drink?

I'm too much of a Pikey to afford the prices.

there's a Wetherspoons on TCR...with the added bonus that Ogden won't
    come to it...

I'm surprised that *you* would consider entering a Wetherspoon's.

They're a bit shit, but also cheap. I'm not proud about pubs, though I
prefer non-shit ones to shit ones.

The Wetherspoons on TCR has the one advantage that it's really fucking
big, and you can usually get a seat, even for medium-large groups of
    people.

Would be fine by me, I probably will even have a few work sponsored beer
    tokens.

I could manage a couple after work but I'll have to leave fairly early as
Virgin in their infinite wisdom has stopped what was my last train home.

Eight hours it took me to get home on Friday! Just change at Birmingham
they said, yea right, I like nothing better than hanging around Birmingham
New Street dodging the pissheads and druggies until 5:00 in the morning.
Good job I had a book to read.

I was only thinking of a couple of drinks after work, anyway. Not
    monday - prefer Thursday.
    *nice*

You'd have been better staying in the pub/going to the funny little
Vietnamese restaurant/laughing at Kiran's food (which I'd ordered) and
then going home in the morning.
It's quite funny for a book written by a fascist.

Does anyone, other then Ivan, actually know what either of these
    acronyms/abbreviations [1] mean?

I'll admit that I have no idea.

    [1] they could be either

Dunno about ROOT, but CERN is a european nuclear research centre so
I'd have a fair stab at what it stands for...
