As per subject, the London Clique will be holding open house at
Lowlander, 20 Creechurch Lane, from 6pm(ish) on Friday the 1st of Feb.

For those as don't know, it's wall-to-wall Belgian grog.

Token Northerners welcome. Welsh by arrangement only.

Aldgate. Or Tower Hill's near enough if you're hitting the District line
from Hammersmith. There's a map on their web site, but I've got to walk
past Aldgate to get there anyway...

Why can't you do these things on a saturday?

I could gadget shop in Tottenham Court Road beforehand.

    a) as per the post in the Vinopolis thread, it's not really a clique
    event
    b) Lowlander isn't even close to being a typical city pub.
Lowlander has at least 40-50 different bottled beers and about 7-8 on
    tap.

It'd be about 10 minutes walk from Monument, just up Gracechurch
Street and then hang a right into Leadenhall St.

I'd need to leave work early on Friday to give me enough time. Plus
I've no idea if the majority of TCR shops close at 5, 5.30 or when?

What's the attraction of the TCR shops anyway. They shite, overpriced, and
    staffed by complete morons.

Damn. Its been years since I wandered round them but they were cheap
and full of interesting, unnecessary gadgets.

The complete morons was a bonus as they paid them **** all, making
    things cheaper.

So I gather they're just like any other Dixons/Currys/Comet/PC World
    now?
