    at the moment, the other.
    yup - it's a very stripey neighbourhood.

The 192's a bit of a crazy roamer of a bus - not as bad as a 191,
    though.

  3. I went to his old place once. I even met Angie momentarily. I'm too
common to be invited to the new [1] posh place ;-)

[1] to me anyway. Still it's going to be dumped for somewhere even
    posher.

not posh here at all - I've had Champ, Cane, Porl, Simon Weller, Simon
Gates, Petrolcan, and probably a few others I've forgotten around
    here.
not exactly, just somewhere a bit pricier/better located.

  5. snip voting in local elections
The usual suspects. Continued involvement in Iraq, erosion of civil
liberties, erosion of the democratic process, opposition to ID cards,
the anti immigration stance, the latest health and education policy
    decisions etc.

On some of these there isn't much to choose between the parties :(
Or just don't bother voting at all.
    "Doesn't she look tired?"
I was very worried a couple of weeks back to find myself nodding along
to R4, then realising it was Mr Cameron speaking.

  6. Don't confuse the Qld branch with the national agglomeration.
Fact is for most of my youth my local MP was the Deputy Leader and then
Leader of the Country Party (later renamed the National Party] -- so good
they named a rock band after him -- The Doug Anthony All-Stars. I think his
son succeeded him as the Member and perhaps also leader for a while.

But yeah, it was a convenient excuse to give to my father...

I'm not convinced that the comparison between Major and Brown is a good
    one.

Brown comes across to me as a nasty, envious, controlling shit.

I'm *really* hoping he gets the reins of power about 6 months before the
election and proceeds to lose. Not because I want Cameron in (I'm not
convinced) but I just can't stand Brown.

He's another fucker without any principles- remember when he claimed his
mother was a small business woman and she responded *TO THE FUCKING
    PRESS* that she wasn't?

He's a lying fucking shit and I hope he gets his come-uppance.

Mind you, under Blair apart from the unprincipled raid on the pensions
he's been a good chancelor; probably the best one in my lifetime.

    It's a problem though. I don't want Brown's labour. I don't believe
the Lib Dems can win. I'm not convinced that Cameron is all he appears
    to be. *sigh*

I don't this: he stopped the reclaim of ACT on dividends, right?

10% tax reclaims, on dividend yields of around 3-3.5%.

Or 0.3 to 0.35% of the fund's value. Per year.

    Daylight robbery.
