List of wants

  1. After reading Kevin Ash's column in Tee Dub this month, I got to thinking
about what would be good to have on a bike. (Note that I don't agree with
him about the "it needn't cost an extra cent" thing - the design time alone
    is going to cost money.

So, here is my list of wants (realistic ones, at least, anyway):
    All of Kevin's list, plus.....
All colour options to be available in Australia. (I'll wait for it,
if it has to be brought in, but I want to be able to get it in whatever
colours the rest of the world can.
Centre stands at least available as an option on all but full-on
    sports bikes.
Body work that doesn't have to bend and flex for it to come off the
    bike.
    Head Light Switches!!!!!
Adjustable foot pegs, bars, and levers (I know most bikes have
adjustable levers, and a lot also have adjustable bars).
Suspension that is adjustable easily, without needing any tools that
aren't in the factory toolkit, and which can be adjusted without needing
hands the size of a 3 year olds to do it.
A clock, that you can see easily in the dark.
An engine that doens't require removal of the cam shafts to change
the shims. (I can think of several ways of doing that!)
Rear subframes that will support pillions of weights other than
    super-model without bending.
A prewired and fused accessory wiring loom.
Coolant tank, oil filler, fuse box, and battery terminals that are
all easy to get at without stripping any of the plastic work off the bike.
(I will settle for removing one panel or the seat.)

Umm, there's probably a lot more, but that's all I can think of for now.

Oh, wait, and heated grips that aren't heaps larger and more uncomfortable
    than normal grips.

Ok, so what have I missed? And which of these do others think are stupid,
    and why?

A little blue-and-white propeller or falcon volant[1] in the logo?

Let's face it, by the time you start worrying about center stands
and easy access to the camshafts, you're well out of buy-the-latest-
    rocket-and-crash-it territory.

[1] Hi Zebee, even if I did get that wrong.

    True. Sad, but true.
