The Vespa T5 is hardly vintage, or rare for that matter, being first
produced in 1985 if my memory serves me right.

    Mistaken by you, yes
No, just do CBT and DA. Then get a decent bike. That's it, that's all, I
have no further comment to make
For the last time, I don't know any, OK?

Cool, I didn't know how far you were away from Petrolcan.
A nice little bimble for you and the scoot.
Hmm, two kneecaps for the price on one! Swapping your casts for a CBT,
    smart move. :)

Its odd really, the PX125 is essentially the same as the T5, body shape, etc
all the same, however, theres something different about the engine that
makes it capable of meeting the spec required that the PX125 doesnt.
There is a workaround of sorts, apparantly if you can produce an official
dyno readout of your scooter then it can be used, due to a lot of people
importing bajaj's (vespa clone) the powers that be were considering adding
the bajaj cheetak to the list, not sure if they have done it though

    for saturday:)
yes, i think it was 1985 when they first went into production, and mine is
one of the last 400 made, registered only 4 years ago, so, rare and vintage
is not what id call it either.

Heh. I remember drooling over the specifications in the brochures at Len
Turners when they first came out. A couple of years later, I also remember a
mate wrapping one up. It was the classic "Race somewhere" scenario with
three of us, and when just two turned up at our destination it dawned upon
    us..

    "Where`s Billy got to?"

Retrace our route to find him desolate, unconsolable, swearing his head off
at us for "leaving me yer wankers", sat upon the pavement, with his couple
of month old T5 stuffed firmly underneath a parked car..

    Ahh. Memories...

The clue is in the name.)

5 tranfer ports, combined with a lighter piston, nikasil barrel, freer
flowing and higher revving motor compared to the 3 port, softer breathing
PX125. 24mm carb compared to the 20mm that the PX wore too. I seem to recall
the T5 being rated at a full 12bph, compared to the 8 or 9bhp of the PX125.
Also, the T5 delivered it`s power in a much more vibrant fashion.
    Nice.

Bajaj do (or used to at least) a *great* 150 Super clone. Same legendary
unburstable motor, with 10" wheels and stronger frame by all account.. I
    would love one...

I know nobody has a list (the DVLA apparently don't either), that's
why I'm asking for people to name a single/or a few bikes.
Since there is no such list, I'm just asking those that already know
or have a suitable bike to post the name of it. Maybe I should start a
    better titled thread...
If I'd know that some would instead start arguing about what test
they think I should take instead of naming a bike, I wouldn't have
    bothered asking.
I can think of a few £ reasons why dealers wouldn't want to see a list
published, it would stop many learners buying their overpriced and "A"
test incapable bikes, for one. I can't see any mag upsetting their
advertisers by actually telling naive learners the bikes to avoid.
