    wow.
This is the bit that is still a bit unbelievable, tbh.

The way it seems from here:

    Des & Rog are mates. They haven't seen each other for a while;
they live in different countries. But Rog likes Des, and wants
to meet up for a beer and a chat over a couple of days. Rog
pulls his finger out, books flights. Tells Des. Both have a
happy smile that they'll be able to chew the cud for a couple
    of days in the flesh.

Des has work dump on him. [I fail to see a link with the
next bit...] Des decides to go to Spain, whilst his good
mate Rog is meant to in Paris.

Or, in a simpler way; you've got a mate coming over to see
you. And you decide to go to Spain instead. And you have
the brass-necked check to call *him* arrogant?

Especially the 'so says sorry' bit. Can't find that in any of the mails
    I've reviewed.
Aye. He'll deffo need to get his brass neck checked when I catch up with
him. Still he's in Spain for the next 10 days so there's going to be an
intermission before battle is recommenced. I suggest that anyone who
finds Des or me particularly tedious marks the thread read just before
the 22nd because I'm prepared to take him on his
"I'll wear you down with rhetoric, reason, logic and Law"
approach to usenet banter. I too have a joint honours in Waffle and
windbaggery when I need to deploy it. Mined Ewe, I might just call him a
c*nt and leave it at that. ;-)

    Can I get this straight.

    You don't like him.

He offered you accomodation in Paris.

    You accepted.

For some reason it didn't fit in with his plans.

    He withdrew the offer.

I'm not sure he's being unreasonable at all....

Perhaps paying social calls on people you don't like is a mistake?

If you play with dicks you're gonna get fucked. The only question on my mind
is why are you so fucking surprised about it?

[1] I think in all likeliness you are not going to be able to get this
    straight.

[2]Try reading more of the thread or at least the limericks first. or
even line 3 of the one you've just quoted. (Sheesh)

[3]You already did? Were definitely in a [1] situation here...

I suppose it's a choice between fucking over someone who'd already paid for
tickets to visit you or fucking yourself over on the costs of your air
    tickets to Spain.
