tallbloke bored us all completely to death with wittery prose along the
    lines of:
Blimey, you lasted longer than I did. Considering all the shit he put
us both through. And yes, *you* do know what I mean.

Speaking of which, I'll be in Paris mid January with Mrs Prawn attending
    a trade show[1]. I'll e-mail you nearer the time.

    [1] Paris or Birmingham, I thought. It's a toughie.

Hang about, we're missing something here.

    Un, der, twa, katre[1]

What is the missing reason? Will you e-mail it to me if I promise not to
    tell anyone?

[1] This line represents ~80% of all of the French I know.

  5. Hmm - I thought you two were friends. Either this is a very public tiff
or you aren't friends. Surprisingly little tolerance shown by either
    side IMNSHO.
    <ben blaney>

time to put you in the kill file. Won't cost me anything either.

    Sorry to piggy-back, but...

I'm intrigued[1] by what we're all supposed to have said that was so
secret. Oh, I suppose Rog wasn't supposed to mention that he'd been
jilted at all. I really can't remember reposting any of Des's'private'
email ramblings, although I did mention that such emails existed -
maybe that's a crime in itself, in Des's little iLaw.

[1] But not enough to un-kf the **** - not even enough to be
interested in any reply he makes[2].
[2] So I'd appreciate it if no-one would quote it, eh? Although I'll
be in Egypt for the next week anyway, so I prolly won't see that
    either.

    Heh.

Naah, sun, sand and sex, with some diving and maybe a bit of
    horseriding.

    Des says...
So, basically, Rog was coming to France and arranged to meet up with
you. You found yourself having to change your holiday plans because of
work. At this point you offered Rog the chance to stay in you flat
    whilst you were away. Correct?

I fail to see what you have done wrong, TBH. Regardless of the rights
and wrongs of private conversations being posted to usenet, I don't see
that there was any need for Rog to do so.

  13. Well, I still don't "get" the point of horseriding[1], but the others
    are all fun. Enjoy!

[1] I see it as a poor relation of both mountain biking and motorbiking.
But this might be the wrong thread...

Your company sent you to America on dates for which you'd already booked
leave? Something doesn't ring true, and you didn't mention that in any
of the contents of the emails I haven't revealed on UKRM.

    The BULLSHIT detector is trembling.

Does sir remember this post made on the glorious 12th?

Yeah, I know; not that it's going to let us have a ride-out, eh ?

Does sir remember this email snippet of 4th July? (no further harm can
be done at this point, and I've replaced Des' S.O's name with S.O.)

    ========================================================================
Re: Rog and Mo hit Paris on the 18th

    Rog,

Possible problem. S.O. has sublet her flat _until_ 20 September.

The bloke may leave before then. I'll keep you posted.
    We'll find a solution. :)

So you couldn't have gone anywhere on the bike between your return on
the 12th and 18th when we hit town then?
You originally said you'd be staying with the S.O. and lend us your flat
anyway. Not that it matters, we'd have been just as happy going B&B.
You ask me when I'm coming over. I discuss it and book flights and let
you know the dates. You communicate your intent to lend us a crash space
and go out with us etc.

Then 6 weeks later and 3 weeks before we travel you tell me you are off
to Spain instead. I asked you how much you fancied kicking in to the
cost of changing flight tickets as an ironic fillip to your obvious lack
of concern at having f*cked up our plans. I didn't think for one minute
you'd take it seriously, and in fact judging buy the following email,
    you obviously didn't.
What private info did I reveal then Des?
Rant on. Have a turbulent flight. I hope Spain is unseasonably stormy.
