    Ok.

I'm hoping to get it for less, actually - all the early F2s I've tracked on
ebay recently, seem to have gone for around the £1100 mark... must be the
    time of year.

Do you honestly think that'll cut it? Do you?

    Try 4" of lead, matey.

    O'Dells might have some.

Of course, there's the minor technicality that I have to get on front of
you to strike the blow, but I'll figure something out.

    (nice Umlaut, BTW).

Lead? I got lead. I really must get my finger out, melt some down
and pour it into my pool cue.
    They did, indeed.
I'd have to be behind you to check for Teddies, though. And in any
case I intend to use a drone to track you from behind. Hither and
yon, matey - up hill and down dale ... especially the downhill bits.
Character map copy and paste, innit. Slow and clean.

5mil, I hardly ever use a wetsuit in the tropics as I've got this in
built furnace thing called a metabolism, when I go somewhere a bit cool
it burns more energy to keep me warm. I used a lone one when cenote
diving and was very grateful for it as the water was I think 20 degrees,
I wanted one for the Belizean blue hole but the dive shop forgot to
bring it out so I went without, it was a bit chilly a 46 meters but not
    too bad.

    New Body Shop.
Not sure where I got it, but I've always had a relatively high metabolic
rate which is just as well with my lifestyle. I think growing up in an
    uncomfortably cold house helps.

    heh.

But seriously, I reckon our Bob's perhaps exagerating/boating somewhat
    - even at water temps of 25C a couple of hours immersion is going to
start having significant cooling effects on anyone's body, however
    good one's metabolism is.

I'm not normally a cold-wuss, but after 2.5 hours of pool training,
wearing just an ill-fitting, tatty body suit, I was fucking
_freezing_. Jude was also cold in a ~3mm wesuit. And this was with an
ambient air temp of ~35C, albeit very windy.

Eh? Been down to 20m already (although it was only supposed to be 18).
Now, as a 'certified' open-water diver the recommended maximum is 30m,
absolute maximum 40m. This is all for 'no-compression' dives, of
course, using tables or dive computer.

As for buddies, well I don't think I'd be wanting to dive alone in the
    near future anyway.
TBH I think[1] the only significant difference is the amount of
testing and practice, rather than the actual content. Yes, it would be
a piece of piss to 'pass' the PADI course without understanding a word
of the theory, but if you do make an effort it's probably just as
    'good' as BSAC.

[1] Based on Jude, who did BSAC Sports diver at Uni.
