Careful watching of my style this morning makes me think it's unlikeley
that this is the issue. I can take my hands off the bars with minimal
extra effort in my back / legs to keep me upright.

However, resting my fingers on the lever did result in pain, so I think
the thing is to twiddle the position. If that dunt help, I shall look
at risers, but also at a K100 if one comes up locally. Cheers

I think this may be it. I looked this morning as I was riding. If my
fingers are straight out from my arm, I end up about an inch above the
clutch, so I think I'll grab some allen keys at lunch. The dropping of
my fingers and being concious of *not* resting my fingers on the lever
*all* the time seems to have helped.

    I'll let you know.

Well, probably not, but what other options do I have? I might try the
Bonneville lever but TBH I'm not *madly* keen to use the Triple all the
way through the winter cos itt's not gonna do it any good.

Suggestions for another winter hack suitable?

    Ahhh

I have this mad idea that a single Supermoto might be the puppy, but
then I think on the rare occasions that the M25 is clear it would be horrid.

In that case, dear boy, you must needs weigh the pain of the missed
opportunities that those rare occasions represent against the lack of
pain in your shoulder every day. Seems like a no-brainer to me, but
    YMMV.

SWMBO has given me permission to buy another bike, so if I can find
something sensible the Triple can become my fair weather toy. I tried
Krusty's thing with the clutch. It helped a bit but I think the lack of
pain was more due to lack of filtering needed in the horridness that was
yesterday's M25 trawl than a major improvement. It did help a bit, though.

Would sir (whose opinions I value as you know) have any suggestions? My
thought is that a Supermoto would be ideal when the traffic is
snarled. I can take the Triple when I'm working odd hours and know the
    roads will be clear.

However I hear that the seats on (for example) an R30 are a touch on the
hard side? Not much cop for a 90 minute journey. I'd also like to be
able to fit some hard boxes *somewhere* and be able to do 130ish miles
    to a tank.

I'd budget maybe 2-3k. I don't really want to spend much more, and less
if possible. I can see whatever I buy being wrecked by the end of the
winter, so cheaper is better, but must be reliable.

Open to all: Insert answers here.

    TIA

    @fe02.news.easynews.com:

The Triple is supposed to be the toy so forget R30 PITA style bikes. Get
one of the F650 variants: plenty of luggage options, reliable in the
context of supermotos and comfortable for 90 mins in the saddle.

I thought they were belt drive, but all the ones I've seen appear to

Looks like it might well do the business, cheers
