Lifting the front while leant over

So we're talking about the effective increase in gravity in the plane
of the bike/rider due to centrifugal force (whether or not centrifugal
    force actually exists), yes?

In which case I don't see where the 1.4G comes from, as surely it's not
a fixed figure, but one that depends on the speed you're going? The
extra weight whilst leaning at 45 degrees at 150mph will be much higher
    than at 20mph.

If it's physically impossible for there to be less than 1G acting on
the plane of the bike/rider at any speed/angle, then I'll concede. In
fact I'll concede anyway coz it's not something I want to be thinking
    about at bedtime :)

All I know is that if you run out of suspension on the front when you're
going round a corner you fall off. Running out of suspension means that
something is making the weight of the bike and rider more.
It all evens out. At 150mph a 45 degree lean isn't going to tun you as
tightly as at 20mph is it?
    Heh..

I'm off to nitromors off the wheel paint to lighten the wheels, pop on
the tankbag to shift some weight and whip the oil out of the forks as
    that'll reduce the damping

    Hurrah!

    :)

  5. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Krusty"
You must have farted at the same time. Counteracts the effect, see?

Fill the enpty space in the tank with helium, don't forget to shut the
    cap quickly though.

Or just turn the bike upside down while so doing.
