Life in the slow lane

  1. Took the CB125 into central London today and then out to work in
    Tunbridge Wells.

Top whack - indicated 65 or so, with the needle in the red. Happy
    cruising speed: 50.

    Fuel consumption: 115mpg.

Extra time taken on the return commute, compared with... well, compared
with just about any other bike I've got, actually: about eight minutes.

Rather nicer, buzzing along at 50 or so, on a warm sunny day. I wouldn't
want to ride it that sort of distance in winter, mind.

One oddity - an intermittent stutter around 4000rpm. Annoyingly, it
doesn't always do it. Seems carb-related, so I'll have to check float
level. Pilot setting is A-OK. I'll have a look at the ignition timing as
well. Like I say, it doesn't always do it and above 4k it's fine.
