Last weekend and the story's been lifted from the Mirror site now.
    Peculiar.
Involved the type of old-fashioned fraud Alf & Don Cuozzo at ADC
pulled with Lloyd's. Director invented dockets for jobs that were
never booked and stuck them on the Hammersmith & Charing Cross NHS
Trust invoice. Being the NHS the idiots didn't suss it until he'd
nicked £250,000. This has now been repaid with interest after the
fraud was uncovered. Lewis Day say it couldn't happen again coz
they've changed their methods. Right. The director has left the
    company.

My info says that the director left the company and went to work for
City Sprint. With a reference, natch.
The world, his wife and their kids in this industry knew what was
going on at Lewis Day. Dom the Bubble was at it for a good 18 months
    before being officially sussed.
In reality he was sussed early on. Inventing dockets isn't exactly a
cunning plan. MD Hilton Lewis was told by a former MD at West One what
Dom was up to before the end of 2006. Hilton already knew. Figures.
Millionaire Jewish accountant, 6 figure sums being swindled from under
his hooter. He's likely to cop on.
As the fraud involved invented dockets going through Lewis Day's
accounting system and ghost drivers being paid for them Lewis Day got
their 50% cut of each dodgy docket. Hilton reasoned that he could
always plead ignorance when the scam was discovered and blame Dom. So
    he did nothing.
Dom and others were eventually asked to leave when they invented
phantom employees and paid their money into their own accounts. Direct
fraud against Lewis Day. No cut for Hilton. Dom was shown the door.
    Honest industry this, isn't it?

No one heard about Jason? The (ex) recruitment dude @ Csprint? He
disappeared less than two months ago after creating a ghost rider,
with months worth of the whole fleets COAs. estimated £40,000.
    No reports to the police.
(and no refund to the riders/drivers)
