I like that. I dont believe that it was those terrorists, As people have died I will not make comments on who I believe is responsible. However, the attitude/feelings that comes over in that letter (wether it's genuine or not) I concur with.

Oh there's nothing wrong with offending people, you just have to do it the right way. For example replying to someone & calling them a know-nothing festering **** is fine, as long as you remember to snip their sig & post at the bottom.
