You haven't seen Apocalypse now then? That's a real beheading towards
    the end IIRC.

Certainly not with a Kukri but I've held a sword that was designed for
taking heads off, looked maybe a bit like this
    www.cowanauctions.com/itemImages/tee5813.jpg
long and very heavy at the business end, one might have a cow or horse head
    off with it.

I'm reminded of Gene Wolfe: The Book of the New Sun

    You may be right.

Yep. Get's a hell of a long way through though.

    Anyways, it's a water buffalo.

I don't bother with receipts on the toll road and I only normally keep
them for other purchases if it's a big one or I'm going to claim the
    money back.

  6. What? Most of it is tissue wivva bit of bone, pretty much the same as a
human being across the hips, and the Samurai used to practice by
executing prisoners by slicing right across the hips. It was called the
"two wheels" iirc, because of the pattern of the hipbones when rudely
    dissected that way.

    Whatever...

    Not doable with a kukri.

  8. There should be video of it on the net somewhere. There is definitely
loads of articles backing it up. My father in law saw it with his own
two eyes. They use a special kukri for it which is basically a sword.

  10. There is another cut called the fire and stones cut that was from
shoulder to opposite hip. Those swords were SHARP.

It was indeed. Disgusted me, coz they should've used Marlon Brando, but like
you say, one good swipe and the head was off.

More than enough if you're the cow/water buffalo.

I bet that's like the sword used on the latest Sean Bean saga (Game of
Thrones) where a pissed off knight lops his horses head off with a single
blow. Obviously not a real horse (those days are past I would imagine) but
it looked like a lot of effort went into the sword swinging. the sword
must've weighed as much as Andy B.

In the book the sword is hollow and contains mercury.
Sword forums decided it wasn't practical.

It's done with a goat, YTC. Been there, seen it done, had the party.
