  2. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Cane"
Things seem shit and then the phone starts ringing again.

Been like that for me for the past few years. Up and down, up and down -
I know I'll not make a fortune, but I wish I could train customers to
get their act together, the bastards.

Still, all in all, I'd not give it up and work for someone else - I
    couldn't stand it.

I admire your courage (seriously). I wouldn't have the guts to take
financial risks with my income. Thank God though that some people do or
we'd be fucked as a country.

    Good luck FWIW.

    Seriously, don't do it.

My daughter had a string of ponies (well two) during her 8 year riding
career. They cost a bloody fortune to keep and then when she doesn't
want to ride it any more you'll be made to feel the biggest shit ever
    when you suggest selling it.

Also don't get suckered into leasing one either; it's just as bad.

I'd reserve "it's alright for you" for people that haven't worked for
what they have and haven't needed to take risks.

If you are charitable minded you can foster one from places such as the
Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society. It is much the same as leasing
except your horse/pony will almost certainly be emotionally damaged and
    need expensive counselling as well.
