That's gotta be better than being stuck in hospital hundreds of kms from
    home.

I might cancel the trip to Canberra then! :) I could just spare time
for a flying visit there, but that's about it at the moment.

As long as he's on the mend.

I chose to be here this weekend, rather than at a wedding in Wagga - nothing
to do with my busted arse!

Given the size of your tear .. I dare say "very" busted arse may be more
    appropriate Betty!

    Hope the bruising's fading!

    Ice pack ? :)

Actually, I think it hurt less when it was more swollen! I reckon the
swelling provided a little bit of a pain-buffer. The bruising has faded from
the torn bits, and gravity has taken the colourful stuff down around my knee
    now. Weird!

Have you tried very hot baths thrice a day ?
depending on the injury an reduce the pain quickly after the initial
shock of immersion ( and becoming a lobster)

Nope, waited until about 2 nights ago to risk the bath. I live alone, and
given my lack of mobility, I was a bit scared that once I got into a bath I
mightn't be able to get out of it. Was ok though - actually it felt good.

if it does ( and I speak from experience) spending $20.00 on a flexable
shower head extender is a fantastic idea and will aid the response (
works with some surgery's as well)
Perhaps if you raise a hand someone will volunteer to keep an eye on
you exiting the bath ? :)P)

Nice try, John. But your 'logic' is back to front.

The onus of looking at the legislation and producing some
_real_evidence_ in the form of verbatim quotes from it, lies firmly
with those running around spruiking paranoid "police state"
    allegations about it.

I'm making no comment either in support of the legislation or against
it. Therefore I have no position for which I am obliged to provide
    any accurate evidence.

OTOH, those claiming that the legislation is dodgy DO have an
obligation to trot out some convincing evidence for their paranoid
    blatherings.

If I am shown such evidence, i'll gladly retract the "paranoid
    blatherings" assessment.

I can't be any fairer than that, John...

Interesting interpretation of the legislation, Zebee. But you have
yet to reference your interpretation to any specific parts of the
    legislation.

Care to give us references for your opinions?
