    [1] front wheel airborne - is there a list for this?

    <confused>
    So, are you saying that trying to do a wheelie on a shaftie is the
    best way to induce a stoppie?
    <*confused*>
    A backward stoppie?

    That doesn't stop a deft dip of the clutch and flick of the wrist
    putting the front wheel skyward.

    There used to be an offence along the lines of, "not being in a position to
    have a proper view of the road ahead", but I think it got the boot a few
    years ago.

    Now I guess they'd just do you for careless or dangerous.

    even I could wheelie an R1150GS - you just sort of open the throttle
    in first gear.

    It provided a small amount of personal amusement in an otherwise dull day.
    Nothing more.

    Lighten up Des before you stress yourself into an early grave.

    I think Des perceives the "shafties can't wheelie" thing as a
    ukrm-clique thing, where in actually fact it's from rec.motorcycles.
    what are you telling him that for?
