We left a cold and dreary Yellowstone Park behind and made our way into
    clear weather westward.
A loop around Lake Tahoe and cruise northward through the California
mountains into Oregon. Most of this part of the country is new to me. We
head to the coastal redwoods and down Highway 1, with waves crashing on the
rocks below and the spray cooling the air we ride through. Fog drifting
ashore coats the valleys as we drop low to the beaches then back above into
the hills. It's like that all the way to San Francisco.
