Left or right?

I would imagine most bike riders have a preferance
of which way they like to go around corners, for my
self i prefer left corners to right. Seem to be able to
get down a little more, fel safer etc.

Has this i wonder, got anything to do with the way i
    'dress'?

Do guys who dress to the right prefer right turns?

I suppose it could apply to the girls with which boob is
    lower than the other perhaps?

Just a thought, bored here i guess.

Had not thought of that, i have been promising myself one day i will do
a track day just to see how crap i am at riding round corners. Thats made my
mind up, time to call a few mates who also have been harping on doing one
    and sort it.

No where can we go for a first time? I do like Donnington.

Most people who have a preference in this country seem to prefer right. I've
always thought this was more to do with the fact that there is the (perhaps
tad dagerous) idea of extra runoff and not hitting a wall should you run
wide. Riding on the continent seems to reverse the effect. After a few
trackdays you might find your preference disappears as there are relatively
fewer lefts on the majority of tracks.

I prefer exactly the reverse of that, it's easiest to "chase the kerb"
    IMHO.

I find I'm much happier and can go in a lot quicker into left hand bends.

Whether this has anything to do with the Guzzi's shaft drive I don't
know. Recalling the wear on some of my old boots and sadly misplaced
attempts with Blakeys I'm pretty sure its always been the case.

    I can't say I noticed any difference.

I prefer lefts, had one too many exhausts deck out on rights.

You could be on to something. I have no particular preference about
corners and my dick is so big I have to fold it up when I put it away.

    OH- Guest

Just to avoid confusion, I'll reverse everything so it fits with your
driving on the wrong side of the street.

Personally I prefer left hand corners. Probably not because they
are turning that way but because they are "inside".

In Norway they did a survey about motorcycle accidents and
found something interesting. They asked a number of bikers a
lot of questions, one about "incidents" in corners and got the
same number for right and left handers.
Then they checked insurance reports from two companies
and found that a clear majority of real corner accidents were
    in right handers.

    For me it is left-handers.

I commute to Milton Keynes every day and travel through/around 8
roundabouts, each way, I can categorically state that it this has
changed my view of right-handers. I hate them, I have had enough close
shaves with diesel and idiots in cages to last the next 10 years,
however I am quick enough on the left-handers, probably because I am
just glad to exit the bloody things!

Surely there is more runoff on left handers? [1]

I prefer lefts. Seem to have better throttle control than rights,
which probably means I am doing it [1] wrong.

The 'extra runoff' i.e. the other half of the carriageway, is available
    on lefts not rights...

The torque reaction assists in lifting the bike back to upright as you
accelerate out of a lft hander, so it's seems 'easier'.

I prefer left's because leaning hard near the crown of the road feels
safer than getting into the gravelly gutter.

It won't surprise either of you to know that I have no preference and
never have had. Must be one of those god-like thangs.

Would you beleive.....straight on. Tosser stood on his brakes for a speed
camera 'just' when i looked down at the front forks of my ZZR600 and was
thinking i must change those, then............BANG.
