    Hiya Folks,

Does anyone know of any good links for either custom leather or leather
    in bargass sizes?

    Thanks

There are others but both of those do good work and I've never heard
    complaints about them.

    Where abouts are you JB?

As already mentioned, Tiger Angel are great. www.tingerangel.com.au
    (Melbourne based, worth every penny).

    In Sydney you've got ...

    Insex Leathers
    Henty St
    Yagoona 2199.
    (02) 9743 7619.

    D.B.T Leathers
    436 Hume Hwy
    Yagoona 2199
    (02) 9790 1235

And a bit further out but apparently still very good ...

    Peels Leather
    6 Greenview Rd
    Narara 2250 (Gosford basically)
    (02) 4324 3836

But I guess that all depends on where you live.

From memory, but the website doesn't seem to say it anymore, I thought that
Collins would also do custom suits if you went in and asked them. They're
    based in QLD.

    Ah, *bargearse*!

For a while there I was wondering when they started making leathers out
    of dry sugar-cane straw! ;-)

The bloke behind Insex was the son of the guy behind DBT.

I remember calling the number in an Insex ad in a back issue of AMCN,
looking to get a suit made. I spoke to the guy's wife; she told me that
he's wound Insex up and gone off to do PC repair.

This was, umm, sometime around October, 1999, I think.

    Underdog leathers worked for me.

Custom made, fits perfectly, and didn't cost the earth.

Takes a while to get 'em because of the custom made bit {and they're
done overseas}, but I was quoted $1600 for a jacket somewhere else,
and UD did one for $450.

Damned if I can remember their web site, though.

I expect it will be dealing with the other side was just to much , I had
to once in a deal and I swore never again.
They seem to have a desire to screw you out of every penny while not
suppling what was contracted because they can..

Plus I think ditching the business meant he had less chance of being screwed out of every penny by someone else. ;-)
