Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a brand new boxed
genuine Leatherman Tool Adapter with 1/4" hex drive, 3 locking positions
and 6 hex bits, all with it's own carry case and belt clip.

I bought it at the weekend but it turns out that the one for my Wave is
    different.

    Wahey, cool.

But... er... not wishing to look a gift horse in
the mouth and all that. But why don't you just
take it back and get it exchanged for the correct
    version?

Why did I know your name would appear when there was mention of a
    freebie?

I didnt even know it was a freebie when I answered!!! As it happens I
got the PST for (almost!) free. I swapped it for a coppers helmet when
I was at Fairford last year. Best bit? - It wasnt my helmet!!

Sadly, no. I gotta cheap, shitty Halfords thing 'cause I needed a cutty thing
in a hurry once. It's shit and now resides in the top of the toolbox.

Having today had cause to play with the screen on the GS and having
examined the contents of Herr Bayerische-Motoren-Werken's toolkit under
the seat, I reckon I'll be needing one.

    No problem.
    Whatever floats your boats
But the question I had was would it ever get used? I couldn't see myself
carrying it, so it would only get used at home and if I was at home I'd
probably have a more useful convenient tool.

£32.50 seemed like a lot for a paperweight. Thankfully they were
    reduced.
