My geography is crap, so I have no idea where the OP is/is going.
    but:
    http://www.girlsbike2.com/site/locations.asp
I've seen them advertised on the back of the odd van. I have never used
the service, but there's a catalogue function implied.
Hints strongly about catering to women too, that one.

If they're on the credit card, you get your money back before it's taken
from the bank, providing you're on the ball sending what you don't want back
    to the supplier..

I haven't yet found a bike gear supplier
Infinity motorcycles did it with no problems. My missus bought two pairs of
combat textile pants and sent BOTH pairs back because they didn't fit.
Infinity were really helpful and actually took a tape measure to the 3 third
pair to be 100% sure they were the right size.
I do, I'm wed to one.
This size disparity isn't unusual with bike gear, but I've told you what my
missus did and I hadn't even paid for her last jacket before the paramedics
cut the fucking thing to pieces, so you CAN buy online, try it for size and
send it back if it doesn't fit.

I was going to mention them, they are, amongst other places, in Hitchin
which can't be far away as the OP mentioned Flitwick.
As an aside, I do have a pair of new un worn size 10 Ashman leather trousers
that are too big for my wife, if you want them they are yours!

Well, considering your age, she must be getting on a bit. So she's doing
really well if she is taking an active interest in the form of young
    Italian rears. Good on her.

just a shame that they tend to only be two foot four.

GLF have a decent range of both Male and Female clothing. I was having a
coffee with him this week and trying on a few "troosers". Not bad at all.
However, his range of female wear is a bit limited as is most outlets. The
only real exception is Girlsbike2 in Hitchin. They do have some nice kit
that fits well and they are not too expensive either. If you're coming down
to Fiddlewick give us a call and we could pop over together.

    @newsfe1-gui.ntli.net:

Ah. They have a nasty habit of doing that, the fuckers. Sometimes they
manage to do it without actually snuffing it, IYSWIM.

Ta Molly, that's a good idea ) I've been perusing their website this
afternoon, but I really don't want to order anything to be delivered
and find the size turns out to be wrong and have to faff about
    returning it.

I know what you mean. Their size 10 is actually a size 10 though.
