Just bought a Chinese Honda clone 125 to practice and potter about on.
    Any recommendations for insurance - social/domestic use/2000
miles/parked in the street/basic chain security?

    Thanks, Rob

Start by trying a few of the comparison sites, remembering to use
01234567890 for you phone number if you don't want them hassling the
**** out of you. Then go & buy lots of vaseline.

If you're expecting to pass quite quickly, ebikeinsurance.com does a
monthly policy that might work out cheaper *IF* you're quick to pass
your full test, will wind up costing you more if you don't though.

has the advantage that you can cancel it for the months that the Chinese
    POS is off the road

Wasn't that something that was said about Jap bikes in the not too distant
past and what's now said about BMW bikes?

I looked into that when I wanted to insure my old car for 2 months. Was
significantly cheaper for me to take out a 12 month policy and cancel
after 2 months, including paying the "admin" fee. Also meant it was
flexible if I needed to keep the car longer

Just tried cancelling the insurance on my car which has 2 1/2 months to
go. It would cost me more to cancel than the money I'd get back

    er, thanks!

Thinking of pottering for a few months, topping up at a local
(Sheffield) training centre, and taking test Novemberish.
I'll check out both types - ebikeinsurance keeps timing me out online.
Quotes around £200 on the supermalarkey sites. Bloke at work, similar
situation to me, says he got his for £80 friend of friend says - but I
need it before I can check that out.
