It's shite really, I don't honestly know how they sell anything from it.
I'd say value for money-wise, the Gore Voyager ones. They aint cheap,
but they have a 5 year guarantee, and removeable bib-brace and thermal
liner. There are more pricey ones, but they don't really offer any more
features, and they don't have the bib/brace. The Sheltex version doesn't
    have a bib/brace either, but it's 50 quid cheaper.

Comfort is a matter of personal choice. What might suit me, might not
suit you. Whatever you buy, make sure you get the 'top of the range'
Hiprotec Sport armour if it doesn't already have it fitted. Sport armour
is a hell of a lot more comfy than any of the harder types, and offers
more protection than the Hiprotec Comfort range.

To be fair, I'm still cycling to work in shorts and t-shirt, I don't
really like temps above 25, and a mid-day temp of 10 is about where I
add an extra layer at 8:30 on a motorbike, if going more than 20 miles.

As for 'decent gloves/boots' I don't think there is such a thing - they
stay warm if the rest of me is warm, if my arms/legs/chest feels cold,
my hands and feel go nubm quite quickly.

Agreed, that's pretty much what I've got.

It kept me warm and snuggly at the top of Mt Killington in Vermont in
Feb/March when it was -20 deg.*F* and blowing like a bastard.

I also got a fleece/neoprene facemask to save my lips being
cryogenically sand-blasted ... Not had use for it on the bike, yet.

Umm, er, Colin, we'd moved on to all-weather trousies, mate.

    Care to comments on those?

    Arse.

I've only ever had HG, so can't compare. I do remember the knee armour
    didn't line up very well.

I have a small size Voyager 3 jacket and large size Pathan gloves. My
gloves fit inside the cuffs of the jacket fine.

Then either the cuffs are bigger nowadays or you've got skinny
    girly-like wrists.
