    Assembled masses:

Anybody aware of anybody in FIM getting busted for out of
specification fuel? The AMA is penalizing Ricky Carmichael
25 points for out of spec fuel (too much lead). This is the third
time in three years that VP Fuels sponsored riders have
been penalized in AMA motocross/supercross. There is
a lot of speculation that it's "just too hard to be sure about
these trace levels of lead". But the Euros seem to be able
    to get it right, right?

    T3 says:
I thought the AMA rule was written to conform to the
    FIM rule. Not true?

    T3, me, whoever:
The rules are the same, the test protocol is
different, according to the AMA's press release
rescinding the penalty for too much TEL in Ricky
    Carmichael's fuel
