I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate
change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Now quit bugging me and
go and talk to the Catholics.

Top of my wardrobe actually. I *think* there are two. I'm reasonably
sure one is brand new and the other is usable. I'll double check,
    probably tomorrow or Friday.

I still have the lid, but I also have two others, so it's not going to
be a used spare for ever again.

You want, they are yours. In Harlow. Can be in Marlow any day next week
    if that's easier UR wise.

Harlow would be easy (I work in Hoddesdon).

Sort of dark silver. I think the visors are two different coloours

    aww **** it
    <fx: wanders upstairs>

OK, so it's only one, it's brand spanking (still got the clear plastic
cover and stickers on it) and it's dark silver.

All things being equal I'll be at home most of Friday and chunks of the
weekend, although we have family lunch on Sunday.

    Or next week.

    Whatever really.

I recently acquired a Nitro F347 VN flip-front with a flip down tinted
visor. I have to say, having worn it to Chimay and back, that it's a
bloody good lid - quiet, comfortable and doesn't mist up in wet weather
despite not having a Pinlock insert[1]. There's a weird ratchet strap
quick release fastening mech which takes a couple of days use to get
your head around, but now I'm used to it I quite like it.

The ear cut-outs are plenty big enough to fit Scala Rider earpieces as
well. Once they are in the gps and phone speech is 10 clearer at speed
than the same unit fitted in my Arai Condor. When the satnav gives me
directions I don't have to hit the replay button any more.

[1] The original visor is supplied with Pinlock pegs, but it doesn't
    come with the insert.

    Aww poo.

That'd look very odd on a black lid.

    Thanks anyway mate.

I'd stick the thing on Ebay sharpish, IIWY. They're like hens' teeth at
    the moment!

  13. Really? I can see why - I used it once, hated it and chucked it onto a
shelf at the back of the garage.

I love mine when it's really, really cold. Keeps your face toasty warm,
& if you leave the filter thing out, the condensation pools in the
bottom giving you a nice drink on long trips.

And we are back at Sting and dodgy sci-fi films again.

well, I've had a follow up. Of sorts.

An email yesterday apologising for not calling the day before "We had
    our Shark rep over".

Yes, I can see how dealing with a supplier could take priority over a
    customer. Actually, that's a lie. I can't. And it didn't explain why
    they didn't call yesterday either.

A call this morning saying "Ooh, don't understand. Please post it back."

Yeah, right. I'm really going to pay to do that. And be without a usable
    lid.

I really would not recommend dealing with Riders Offshore. I'm not
convinced it's a full-time business at all. It sounds more like a
part-time sideshow to me. God help you if you do and anything goes wrong
    with your order.

Remember too, that their website does *not* reflect their stock holding
(or indeed their ability to obtain stock). Whether or not they can
obtain the item, they'll take full payment for it as soon as you place
    the order.

I'm writing the fifty-five quid I've wasted with them off to experience.
And the experience says "For ****'s sake, buy from someone you can
    *see*."

Noooooo. It's not the money, it's the principles, damnit! Their refund
policy states they'll pay postage if it was delivered in error or
faulty, & all their Revolution visors state 'clear'. Point that out to
them, & if they still won't play, send them a copy of the message
you're going to post on 'every single motorcycle message board on the
    internet'.
