Stoner rode like a demon ,good to see the guy win .
Rossi had no answer for the ducatis' power on the straight ,although he
put up a decent fight in the corners.

    Excellent racing .

SPOILER (can't change the subject line in Google groups sorry)

Yeah he rode it well, the last couple of laps I had my fingers crossed
that he wouldn't crash out. Rossi was very tactical in that regard -
he made that second pass knowing full well the ducati would take it
back on the straight but I reckon he was hoping to pressure Stoner
into turning it up just a little far (knowing he'd be desperate for
his first win). I can't recall exactly what he said in the interview
but I read that into it.

There's only a couple of tracks as fast as Qatar, and there was no
doubt the Yam was just as fast through the corners (seemed like it was
probably quicker), so the speed deficit on the straight may not be as
big an issue elsewhere the Aprilia triple was by far the quickest in a
straight line and the thing never even got close to winning, would
have been interesting what would have happened if they had had a qatar
    race before it was retired.

One thing I noted reading AMCN last night was that ducati have ditched
big bang and gone back to the screamer firing order to get max power,
Yam didn't. I suspect Edwards will be running a screamer in the next
race (and Rossi will test it in practise)
To be honest not really, it was only tense because it was Stoner's
potential first win. Rossi and Stoner quickly buggered off and left an
interesting battle for 3rd 4th and 5th we didn't see much of.

Bodes well for a good season though 4 different makes in the top 4
    places. Shame about the Kwakas.
