Last minute travel insurance?

  2. I used to buy my own world-wide insurance for ~£80 and then bill
    it to the Uni. This year it was £85, so I switched to the Uni's scheme
    which is £75/year but unfortunately doesn't cover me for non-work travel.
    However, my NatWest Advantage Gold account includes travel insurance, but
    it looks like I need to call them up before travelling to get medical
    clearance (which is then valid for 12 months). The only non-work overseas
    travel I've done in the last 9 years was my trip home in Feb...

  3. Quite possibly -- I know there was such a clause in some benefits
    I was covered for once, but I've mislaid the original full documentation
    and all they send me is changes. The full version isn't on their
    web-site as far as I can find, and the one time I went into a bank to ask
    for a replacement the queues were horrendous enough that I just left.

    Given that I'm unlikely to take a holiday overseas that isn't
    paid for by CC, it's not a real problem.
