Oh, I didn't make it very clear that I don't particularly want one
*now*. And I'd want a C1 model in green.

Pfffft. Red ones are faster, as any fule no.

And C1s will be old and tired by now; an E2's the way forward, honestly.

Any Kawsaki that isn't green is a fake!
But I'll probably get one purely for "nostalgic" reasons, so it would
have to be like my old one.

Anything with Kawsaki on the tank is certainly a fake, regardless of colour.
    You can never go back!

Stop squinting like that, and you might be able to tell.

Awww... now I feel guilty for upsetting you.

Would it cheer up if I got someone to put a blanket over your knees?

IKWYM, but as long as you haven't really damaged anything then it's
probably no bad thing, in the long term.
    Not likely, no.

My new Kawasaki doesn't have anything written on the tank, it's on the
    fairing.

Ive had a 9R, so I'm not sure I want another one.
Once again, UKRM comes up with the goods - an unambiguous
    recommendation !

Seriously, thanks for all the thoughts / suggestions.

Test rides would seem to be the order of the day.

Or I could just do what I always planned to do and buy a Daytona 955.

I had a Daytona 955i SE two bikes after the ZX-9R and loved it :)

I've had both, and much preferred the 9R.

    Neither was ideal though.

It's in the eye of the beholder and all that. Some people even buy
    bikes to ride.

As Eddie points out, the fact that I don't like the 9R or the 10R
doesn't make them bad bikes, I just prefer the size and power of the
    12R.

If you like relaxed riding on a 'bigger' bike the early gixxer thou's,
thunderace's etc are great. The early R1's and Fireblades are more
bonkers if you like that style of riding, and the gixxer thou and the
9R can always be stirred up.
I had mixed feelings about the Daytona. They're more roomy than the
9/10R but I didn't like the feel of the engine compared to the inline
    4 motors.

This said, the same engine is perfect in the Tiger ...
