  6. I'm sure you will be more than happy to collect for free, will you be
just happy to cough up the 4 of 5k that is the going price for one? I
doubt it, now **** off and stop trying to rip us off.

  8. don't know where you are looking but they can be had around £1500
    restored to a certain standard.

and I'm not trying to rip anyone off, what I said is what I said... a
    reasonable price....

you made some supposedly funny quip about binning one, I just said don't
    do that I'll arrange collection....

  11. I guess the bottom line is.. I don't want a Lambretta that much... had one
once already, and... thinking about the amount of push starting I used to
have to do... maybe I don't want another at all..... :)

4-5K???? 'kin 'ell. Now if only I'd held on to that 1966 SX200 I bought
    in 1974 for 50 quid...

In fact I wish I had taken my 'kin 'orrible SX200 to the IoM TT, just for
the pleasure of seeing it hurled over the side into the Irish Sea, though I
wouldn't have liked to have followed it.

  16. though what looked like a reasonable one went for £640 just now....
should have bid... seemed worth around that... but thats the problem with
ebay, need to get in early enough to visit and look first...

I can't believe no-one else has seen the Ogri cartoon, but maybe few
remember the detail. I guess my experiences with a Lambretta made that
particular cartoon - and the sentiment - stick in my mind!

  20. Yeah, good price, but didnt want a vespa (or clone), had them before as
well, and they are OK, but just fancied a cheap lambretta to play around
with, but as it seems cheap and lambretta are words poles apart I think
I wont be buying one any time soon. :( (unless another like that GP comes
    up...)

Good thing about lambretta is all the central engine space for playing
with fitting electric motors and battery packs where the vespa monocque
frame would get in the way... (and they are generally better balanced than
    a vespa)

    Electric Lambretta idea (c) 2007 myself... :)
