I was pretty dismissive of the TV coverage but I'm pleased to see the
quality looks pretty good this year. It looks like it's being recorded
in HDTV and there's been some good slo-mo.

I think there use to be a camera high up and looking down on the turns
leading into the corkscrew and the corkscrew entry. I miss that as it
was a great angle to watch the overtaking into the Corkscrew.

I still can't believe the lack of promotion on Speed and that they couldn't
devote an hour show on the whole LS GP experience. They could have gone all
over the spectator and camping areas, the paddock, the shops on the island,
and the all night partying which is absolutely crazy. I mean this is
something a little more special than the Hooter's Cup races that they showed
all day Saturday. It's such a cool place to watch racing at. It's a wonder
    it's not a popular sport.

  3. Their TV people do great work. For sure.

I wonder if some of the trouble with other races is in the PAL-to-NTSC
conversion. I've often thought that about the WSBK races - their picture
always looks flat. NTSC=Never The Same Color.
