MISSION STATEMENT: Founded in 2005, Lady Liberty MC stands for Individual Freedom is a non-partisan, non-profit organization with the mission to protect and defend individual freedoms and individual rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Lady Liberty MC seeks to focus public, legislative, and judicial attention on the rule of law as embodied in the federal and state constitutions. Those fundamental documents both express and safeguard society's commitment to individual freedom, not only through specific protections such as the Bill of Rights, but also through structural protections that constrain and disperse governmental authority. In addition, Lady Liberty MC seeks to foster intellectual discourse by bringing together independent thinkers to examine broad-ranging issues of individual freedom in our global society. While Lady Liberty MC is decidedly for individual freedom, scholars and legal authorities who share that same basic philosophy differ as to the application of those principles in the complex world in which we live. Lady Liberty MC strives for balanced debate that encourages conflict resolution where there is tension between the rights of individuals and the requirements of government, as well as between individuals. As law abiding citizens (many of us current ot retired Law Enforcement Agents or Military Veterans), we stand tall and united as we are guaranteed the right to associate with whomever and wear whatever, without permission, discrimination, or censorship from any organization or government agency. We are proud that we are a neutral organization that allows all riders to unite in a brotherhood and sisterhood to help bring about a reminder and awareness of our inalienable rights, and still be human beings that love to ride, all with differing views. Hopefully, our visability will help bring all patch holders and the overall community (as a whole) together to recognize that we are regular citizens like everyone else. We support all Motorcycle Rights Organizations on legislative matters (i.e., anti-biker discrimination, anti-biker censorship issues regarding our "Colors," and anti-biker federal gang bills, which are interpreted to include all bikers as "gang members" or potential "terrorists"). We proudly wear a "three-patch design," in order to dispell the myths and in some cases,"traditions," that all "three-patch design," "biker's," "colors," and wearer's of those "three-patch designs" are "criminals." We are not "criminals," we are not a "one-percenter" organization, and we do not "prospect" members. Lady Liberty MC engages in two distinct but complementary activities: Visability. Through a variety of resources (everything from our website, "colors," and merchadise), we seek to make its voice heard on important legislative issues affecting constitutional rights and freedoms. Education. Through a variety of resources (everything from our website, "colors," and merchadise), Lady Liberty MC seeks to reaffirm the plain language imperatives of the US Constitution, relating it to contemporary conflicts that cannot be allowed to erode or circumvent it. Based in Georgetown, Colorado, All rider enthusiasts, male and female, from all walks of life, owning any make or model of any street worthy bike (500 cc or greater), from beginner to professional rider; are welcome here. You must be 18 years or older to ride with us. You must ride a legally licensed and insured bike to ride with us. you're wearing a 3 piece patch? With regret I know I'm going to read the article fairly soon about your run-ins with other 1%ers.
In aus.motorcycles on 1 Sep 2005 17:17:23 -0700 Why? You think the 1%ers don't think cops are the same kind of bod, just a different uniform? Zebee
Agree with the cop statement. But this group doesn't want to play by the 1%er rules, but look like a 1%er club. Check their patch out http://gabellini.homestead.com/Lady_Liberty.jpg The other 1%er clubs in the area aren't going to be treating these guys very kindly (like the recent Ulysses vs Rebels incidents), that's what I was trying to say.
In aus.motorcycles on 1 Sep 2005 19:38:11 -0700 Oh I agree they won't be happy. But I don't know if they give cops more leeway, if they think the cops are another kind of gun-toting mob who like beating people up. Zebee
I don't think there's much to worry about, they're a bunch of Yanks who probably don't even know where Australia is. I don't there's much chance of any confrontation happening on Aussie soil, so they can go shoot each other in Texas or where ever as much as they like. JL
In aus.motorcycles on 1 Sep 2005 22:34:22 -0700 Oh definitely. No matter how much they think nowhere else exists... Won't stop the patch clubs from showing them that 3 piece rockers *are* to be treated carefully. After all, those who want to be taken for tribal maniacs who like to fight shouldn't be surprised when they meet up with those who created that rep eh? Zebee
I doubt many of them are current members of any patch clubs. The only fighting the patch clubs do now is drug related rather than patch related isn't it? Nev.. '03 ZX12R
In aus.motorcycles on Fri, 02 Sep 2005 18:11:15 +1000 Hard to tell the difference from outside. Ibelieve the Coffin Cheaters and the Rebels have had a couple of dustups, but drugs or colours who can tell? Zebee
In aus.motorcycles on Fri, 2 Sep 2005 17:20:51 +0800 Read it again. It was about what patch clubs think, not what I think.
You're talking to Skrote Zebee. The local paper says police and ex-police are joining patch clubs, such as the Blue Knights. The commish is telling them not to. Theo
