In the red corner, wearing the fundamentalist shorts, we have old
    favourite Phil Launchbury

In the black corner, wearing the new rationalist trainers and sweat
    pants, the young contender AndyR.

Fire some accelerated quarks at 'im Andy, that'll get 'im going.

Box clever Phil, he could end up sucked into his moral vacuum.

    May the best rhetoric win.

This is Cane we're talking about, nobody has told him which the most
    expensive one is yet.

You do own a video record, yes? And you've got a small child, who
should be able to program it for you.
Ah, confident of victory before the start. You'll be gutted if C4
concludes that it is the divine and actual word of god, won't you?

PS. I just tried to phone you. On home number I got the answer
machine (for some reason I thought you worked from home, butt that's
Eddie, isn't it). So then I tried the mobile number I had for you -
it was answered by a girl, who'd never heard of you. Good job I
didn't send a rude text message, eh?

Not any more - he works from home loads, I work about a hundred miles away.
He got a new phone about... oooh... well over a year ago, I think.
Hey, you never know what might have happened - maybe she would have
    liked one.

  10. No sorry - this is the 'makes up approximate figure out of thin air'
channel. For accurate figures please retune to mental frequency one.

Or in other words it's a very bad estimate :)

  11. Please! I have some integrity y'know!
Yes. Or somewhere between 1 and 2. I guess it depends on what your
analysis of "all scripture is God-breathed" is..

The bible, hundreds of years ago was much like a series of Terry
Pratchett books... over time people read it, liked it and formed a club.
The stories have were reworked, and passed on as scripture... nowadays
we call it "religion" and it's a multi-million dollar industry.
