    oh well.

    my memory is fucked.

I had a sort of anxiety-dream last night that I had a business meeting
today with someone I used to know (which would have been bizarre in
it's own right, as she was sort of an ex- of mine, not someone I knew
    in a business context).

When I woke up and thought about it, I remembered she died 10 years
    ago.

heh. We had a long and varied involvement from about 7-8 years of age
to our late 20s, and she got the "big C" when we were about 30-ish -
the "it's complicated" Facebook setting wouldn't even have begun to
cover it. I haven't thought about her in quite a while, and I've no
idea why I had a dream about her just last night.

Neither do I, generally. Bit exciting doing the front in the pit lane
in the middle of a race, mind - grateful for gloves, I was.
Don't think I ever saw you change one. Saw you watching, to see how it
    was done, mind.
    Harsh, man. Harsh.

Pfft. That was easy. I do remember saying to you that all bikes
should be made like the race bike, though - clipped in spacers, easy
caliper adn best of all, that little ramp on the inside of the swinging
arm to slide the wheel forward on do dropping the chain off was child's
    play.

We made up some serious time in the pits, you know - when Suze timed us
taking only three minutes from pitlane entry to exit, including a rider
change, wheel change and full tank of fuel, I was seriously chuffed.
    Not without lube.

Dead bastard handy, that little feature.
Perhaps their fuelling rig was a little easier to use. Oh, that was
always fun. They must have been able to fuel and swap wheels
simultaneously too, for that sort of time - our time just for a rider
change and fuel was about a minute from stop to stop.

    Pfft. Cheating.
Ah - cheating by throwing money about. That's racing!
