<fx: paging Bonwick and his gaylord white Yamaha>

Actually, I could almost certainly /remove/ calipers...

Quite. Always tempting to push the pistons out beyond the point of no
return in an attempt to free them up. Plus if some pistons are lazy an
elegant means of blocking the others needs to be contrived. A tiny G
    clamp is my preferred solution.

At least that's what it seems to be to push.
You have to get the fucker on the road first.

And then, where are you going to find an Italian, this time of day?

Yeah, that's the feller. Dunno whether it's gravity making the brake
fluid press on the pistons and seals, or a bit of fur on the business
side of the pad, but it always affects vehicles that have been standing
for a bit. It only takes a couple of thou of movement to make the pads
bind a tiny bit and that makes it awkward to push very easily.
I'm impressed by your freedom with technical terminology.

Hmm. "Mental" with a pressure washer. This is darsy and previously
zymurgy, we're talking about here, right? Anything could have happened
to that bike, man - anything.

erm, yes - it does need a new battery.
easy - "Enfield Dry Cleaners", Southbury Road or "The Barber Shop" on
Genotin Passage - both are full of them.

that takes me back to the days of Bridgeports, dodgy bandsaws, firing
bolts across the shop with airlines, and imperial measure vernier
    calipers.
hey, I worked in a CNC engineering shop for a while; I know what I'm
    talking about!

it's worse than you think - it once had Jen on the back of it on a
    French Run.

If it's not the brake pistons it could be the pads corroded onto the
    brake pins.

You'll be waiting a while because I'm away on the gay bike for the
    next 3 weekends.
    But not put them back.

Even I can take calipers off and put them back on again.

Wheels too, if I'm feeling really adventurous.

No it didn't, that was his Blackbird.

It's had Linda on the back, which may not help my argument much.

He'd surely not be daft enough to leave the bolts loose, would he?

err...are you sure? I am 99% certain it arrived at Duclair with Jen on
    the back.

err..same destination, didn't you two have a bit of a wobbly?

Jen rode it back from Dieppe, and we followed nearly all the way, it
    were deffo the Blackbird.
We never have a bit of a wobbly. I'm too scared to answer back.

She got a lift back from Bruges when the Wing ate its air hose to the
rear shocks - the Lille trip where TBC tried to run his Pan on Esso
    Blue.

    I hate doing wheels.

I fucked up the thread on a wheel spindle once, doing it myself. eBay
    to the rescue that time...

Me too, apart from the MV (single-sided single-nut rear, quick release
    dropouts on the front).
